GLASS-FIBRE REINFORCING MESH WITH ANTI-ALKALI TREATMENT
GLASSTEX GT 160 SOFT is an anti-cracking fiberglass mesh for the reinforcement of “external” insulation, made with E glass fibers and with anti-alkali sizing equal to about 10% of the total weight. The net has a raw fabric weight of 150g/m2 and a total weight of 160g/m2 (with a tolerance of 5%), having a mesh size of 4.0 x 4.0 mm. GT 160 Soft must be placed in the glue layer paying close attention to the fact that it is perfectly drowned using a notched trowel for this purpose. The overlaps of the various layers of mesh must never be less than 10 cm. The surface thus obtained must be further smoothed and leveled in order to receive painting once the seasoning has taken place. Used in thermal insulation systems, as reinforcement of the leveling layer in order to absorb and distribute uniformly the mechanical stresses to which the system may be subjected.
